Jean Bernard Léon Foucault was born on this date in 1819 Paris. The French physicist is best known for the invention of the Foucault Pendulum which demonstrates the earth's rotation.

Peace can be a trap, compassion a performance, and joy a mask. These are not wrong, but when we cling to them, they become stagnant. A flower can’t always bloom. It needs time to rest, to wilt, and to go underground. Boredom, restlessness, and pain are not mistakes. They’re movement. “Doing nothing” disrupts holding on. We are already enough.
