Buddha's Eight-fold Path
The first step begins with realizing there is a way to freedom from the miseries of living to a path of joy and light heartedness. This is called “the right view” and this realization is followed a decision to take the path of The Way with right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration.
The Path is not always an “in sequence” set of steps. Each of the “right” steps is always one of joy, peace and lightheartedness. The Way is often spontaneous and full of supplemental discoveries overlapping and contributing to a comprehension of each. — jab
