Men hunt for the same reason they fish, in order to escape cleaning out the garage. – Garrison Keillor.

Any community that we construct on Earth will be only a small model of a universe whose community includes billions of stars and planetary systems. Are we alone? We don’t know, but if we don’t know how to become a community with our own species, how shall we find harmony with other life forms in the cosmos? – Rev. Barbara Holmes

[W]here in the political world does anyone ever talk about loving your enemy or even your neighbor? Yet almost all of them say they are people of faith. Buddha's Eight-fold Path

The first step begins with realizing there is a way to freedom from the miseries of living to a path of joy and light heartedness. This is called “the right view” and this realization is followed a decision to take the path of The Way with right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration.

The Path is not always an “in sequence” set of steps. Each of the “right” steps is always one of joy, peace and lightheartedness. The Way is often spontaneous and full of supplemental discoveries overlapping and contributing to a comprehension of each. — jab
