Taking off the giant's rose colored glasses. . .

Monday, September 29, 2025. It's the Moon's day . . . and forecasts for TulseyTown indicate moderate Southerlies bringing Summer heat back for another, hopefully last, ten days of that season, with near 90's and a mix of sun and clouds. They also indicate dry conditions. The weatherfeather, on the other hand, noticed mare's tails yesterday mid afternoon. An old-timer's harbinger of rain to come, usually in 48 hours or shorter. Go figure.

Watching the news on over-the-air, cable or any other commercial source? Keep in mind that our media environment is largely controlled by a handful of monopoly media corporations. These companies have business before the very government and politicians that they are supposed to be holding accountable, and their primary and ongoing motive is to make $$ from advertising. In Tulsa that means KTUL-TV, Channel 8 OTA (ABC / Sinclair Media); and KJRH, Channel 2 OTA (NBC / Scripps Media). KOTV, Channel 6, OTA, declares they are “Tulsa's only locally owned” but is in a corporate union with KWTV, Channel 9 OTA – both are owned by Griffin Media in OKC and are affiliates of the Columbia Broadcast System (CBS TV).

Relationship: The Perilous Path of Loving a Person, a Path or a Place – David Whyte, from the series 'Admit, Commit, Submit' posted 9.29.25 Long, but worthy.

The Past Tense, The Future Perfect

Somewhere in each of us is an echo

expressive of every time past and future life

we have had and will have.

That past often has quite a bit of pain

but enough love to recognize in that

echo of the future that it –

the future – is wholly a construct of love.

What we do in the present

manifests what comes next.

By holding on to the past

we bring the pain of our poor choices

and sorrow for all the guilt we carry.

Only by letting go into the unfolding present

– absent tense – may we find that

love has embraced us.

Letting go of all tenses may –

even in the minds of our loved ones

– result, in a judgement

that we may have lost ours.
