They also indicate dry conditions. The weatherfeather, on the other hand, noticed mare's tails yesterday mid afternoon. An old-timer's harbinger of rain to come, usually in 48 hours or shorter. Go figure.

The Past Tense, The Future Perfect
Somewhere in each of us is an echo
