Cautionary Tales
The mailbox is being flooded with Chaos, which, as it turns out, has a harmony all its own.
The human species is now presented with a challenge to its very existence. Can we exist in unity without destroying the planet through ecological disaster, climate change and senseless war? We urgently need to regain our sense of common mutuality and equip ourselves to meet these challenges which are of a worldwide nature. This depends on a widespread sharing of meaning and the creation of a coherent culture which could eventually be planetary. > https://www.infinitepotential.com <
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world” — Gandhi.
I finally got off the couch and went for a walk. I sat down by a stream, and before I knew it, I was completely present for about a minute watching this little leaf. It turned and twisted as it floated down the stream. It wasn’t struggling like I was. It was letting the flow of the water carry it where it needed to go. If it bumped into a rock, it would twist away. if it got stuck, it would become unstuck by the water’s gentle movement. – Cheryl Reynolds, “One Minute of Mindfulness” posted on Tiny Buddha, online 3.4.2022
...to tell the truth, I don't want to let go of the wrists
of idleness, I don't want to sell my life for money,
I don't even want to come in out of the rain.
-- Mary Oliver, "Black Oaks." West Wind, 1997.
Scientists are talking Shamanism, Shamen are becoming scientists. The Watercourse continues to brings us gifts, many of which seem beyond our comprehension. The universe is far more intelligent than are we, yet our own intelligence is interconnected with all the energy of the universe. Proceeding without this awareness is the operationalization of stupidity and insanity. Space junk and the plastic bespoiling of the oceans by our self-serving narcissism are harbingers, singing the same song, the lyric to which begins “Wakey, wakey, change your mind.”
