Three major motion picture directors share birthdays today: Woody Allen in 1935 Bronx, New York City; Ridley Scott born in 1937, South Shields, Durham [now Tyne and Wear], England; and Gael García Bernal born in 1978 Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
