The “mob within the heart.” – Emily Dickinson
If we were to believe and act on each emotion, each thought, we'd be tossed around like a boat absent its rudder. Not a productive way to navigate the Watercourse. Watercourse Guides have known for aeons, if you can name the dragon, you have a power over it. Becoming aware of, then naming the “mobs” within as they arise provides a much needed rudder for our now unmoored boat, dissolving them like dust into the ocean.
The past is “past”...that's why we call it “the past.” The future isn't yet … and is beyond even imagining. The only way ahead is The Way, if you have the courage to allow the present moment to “be” what “is,” never having been before. In that moment the past and the future melt into nothing. Suddenly the way ahead is open, clear and unencumbered by the “is-ness” of the totality manifesting: flowing streams, littered streets, fields of wind-blown grass, bustling crowds, and the beauty of it all.
