Today is the birth date of Jim Harrison (Legends of the Fall(1979). The novelist/poet was born on this date in 1937 Grayling, Michigan.

Another Michigander writer was also born on this day two years later than Harrison. That would be Thomas McGuane, born in 1939 Wyandotte, Michigan.
