Christmas Week...

...a big deal in my part of the US of A. In the mailbox … today is the anniversary in 1843 that Charles Dickens published “A Christmas Carol in Prose,” now known more simply as “A Christmas Carol.”

The light and dark shadows that make up our world still seem to be polarized. Yet … I sense some birthing, something emerging. I'm sure I am not alone in these sensations. We perceive this as a process in which we play a part. Saying “yes” to an unknown future is a challenge to those who would “return to normal” when there is no normal to which to return, nor laid claim to. Many of our brothers and sisters are fearful of these sensations.

“ It isn’t necessary to give up a thing. It’s necessary to give up attachment to the thing. That’s all that’s required.” – Ram Dass

This is not about waiting on something that isn't yet, but attending to what is already. That is “The Way” of the Watercourse. It has no model, no blueprint, yet it celebrates like a brook, laughing. Awareness is its effortless guide.
