The Mayflower set sail for the “New World” today in 1620.

And, today is the 636th anniversary of the birth in Monmoth, Wales, of England's Henry V in, we think, 1386. Famous in his own time as the leader of English forces at the Battle of Agincourt in the morning of October 25 (the feast day of St. Crispin), 1415. Shakespeare made him more famous.
