The least about-you thing

It's Thor's day . . . a sunny, cold winter day in Okieland, but warm enough for an afternoon walk . . .

Shooting at reality doen't really make it go away, no matter the size nor type of the weapon.

Enlightenment is … the least about-you thing that’s ever happened. – Joan Sutherland,

Let that which cannot be named remain unnamed. Know that a simple and singular invitation has been extended: Observe Its quiet presence. It's there in that pause between these words, between your in and out breaths. In the midst of our addictive “doing” the pause opens the space of “being” from which all creativity flows.

Create a Clearing

Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
how to give yourself
to this world
so worth of rescue.
