No room for death . . .

It's Sol's day with another week ahead of the heat-dome over Okieland . . .

Today is the 205th anniversary of Emily Brontë's birth. She was born in 1818 Thornton, Yorkshire, England. Emily, and her sisters Charlotte and Anne were the authors of some of the best-loved novels in the English language.

It is also the birth date for Buddy Guy. The American blues guitaristwas born George Guy in 1936 Lettsworth, Louisiana. Now 87 years old, he is today in the middle of his “Damn Right Farewell Tour” which began in June with George Benson and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd band and many other guests. Over 75 performances are listed on the tour post through November, with more being added.

Though Earth and moon were gone,
And suns and universes ceased to be,
And Thou wert left alone,
Every Existence would exist in Thee.

There is not room for Death,
Nor atom that his might could render void:
Thou - Thou art Being and Breath,
And what Thou art may never be destroyed.

– Emily Brontё (requested by and read at Emily Dickenson's funeral)
