Many have I seen, met, living

in streets pushing stolen carts

filled with scraps of what

otherwise would be buried

in the dung infested heaps

on the edge of town, The stuff

in the back yard of schools,

the surgeon's waiting rooms.

We are the authors of this,

a disaster novel.

It is difficult to forgive the greed

that makes this possibly possible.

Surely they just don't and if they did

I know they indeed would do better,

because like their victims, struggling

in their own way to be, rather than,

do hypnotically what
