In Thor's day’s mailbox: Linguist and social/political philosopher Noam Chomsky was 94 yesterday, born in Philadelphia (12/7/1928). He first rose to fame with his theory that humans have an instinctual tendency to develop languages, the same way that birds have an instinct to fly.
